In a report from GameSpot, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be getting new Pokemon Sword and Shield themed Spirits.

From November 21 to the 26th, players can catch Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble, Corviknight, Morpeko, and Zacian & Zamazenta. While the Spirits will be added to your collection once you beat them, you’ll also earn more Spirit Points than usual.

Recently, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate got nominated for game of the year for this year’s The Game Awards. It’ll be up against Control, Death Stranding, The Outer Worlds, Resident Evil 2, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Smash Ultimate also recieved update 6.0.0, which unlocks the ability to use Terry Bogard, the latest DLC character, new Spirits, outfits, music, and more. The game will recieve one more DLC as a part of the Fighter Pass, but it hasn’t been announced who the fighter will be. Additionally, the game will recieve more DLC fighters once the last Fighter Pass character is released.

As for Pokemon Sword and Shield, the game’s reached number two on the UK’s sales charts, beating out Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Sword and Shield 65% more units than Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee and it’s had the second-best launch for a Pokemon title in the UK. Additionally, in a report from Gamesindustry.biz, Pokemon Sword and Shield have sold over 1.36 million retail copies in three days in Japan. This makes it the best opening week for a Nintendo Switch game in Japan, beating out Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The sales number doesn’t take digital sales of the games into account. We’ll have to wait and see for the U.S sales numbers for Sword and Shield.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is out now on Nintendo Switch. Pokemon Sword and Shield are also out now on Nintendo Switch. As more updates come out about Smash Ultimate, we’ll be sure to let you know.
