Recently, during an Inside Xbox showing, 343 Industries unveiled that they will be bringing The Master Chief Collection to PC. On top of that, Halo Reach would be joining the lineup of games in the collection. Now that Reach is joining the lineup, that means that the only title missing would be the latest from 343, Halo 5. However, as of right now, 343 has stated that they have no plans on bringing over the game.

During an AMA session over on Reddit, the community director for 343 industries answered a multitude of questions regarding The Master Chief Collection coming to PC. While many questions revolved around Reach, many still had to ask the inevitable question – is Halo 5 coming? Of course, Brian, the community director, followed up stating: “Our focus is bringing MCC and Reach to PC, there are no current plans to bring over Halo 5.” The news is a bit sad, but not unexpected.

While the community director did say that they have no plans, that doesn’t mean it isn’t in the realm of possibility. I mean, when this game launched and was an absolute dumpster fire, at least regarding the matchmaking issues, I would have never thought that they would still be supporting this game to this day. I completely understand why they have though. Halo is Microsofts largest IP and having almost every single title under one package that includes every campaign and multiplayer map is a phenomenal feat that I believe other IPs should try to replicate.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is currently available for Xbox One and is coming to PC sometime this year. If you have been holding off on picking this game up, now would be the perfect time to dive right in. You can pick the game up right here through Amazon for only $30.
