I’m just going to say it–European cosplayers really know what they’re doing. Whether we are talking the impeccable Persona 5 Makoto cosplay or the spot-on Futaba cosplay, they have been raising the game in recent months. But with Apex Legends picking up a huge chunk of the Battle Royale market share, it’s no wonder that new characters are getting their day in the sun. And today’s highlight cosplay is Wraith from St. Petersburg-based cosplayer Olya Bony. And it is making me a little less mad that I am constantly dying to Wraith’s in-game.
Highlighted earlier this week thanks to the dedicated Apex Legends subreddit, Olya Bony’s Wraith cosplay became a focal point:

APEX LEGENDS. WRAITH #MakeUpTest Did you already managed to play the new game Apex Legends? I didn’t have time, but I watched the streams and fell in love with one of the characters so much and just in two hours after I collected an image of what was at hand, literally in one breath! Who played, I wanna see your impressions! While Olya Bony is typically more a Game of Thrones cosplayer (feel free to check her Instagram above for more Daenerys or Melisandre cosplay), she was inspired to try out Wraith after the game struck it big with its surprise launch. Even more impressive, the costume above seemed to be slapped together in under two hours.
And what a spot-on costume it is. Wraith (among all of the Apex Legends characters) is the most mysterious, having all of her information redacted on the official character page from EA and Respawn. While there are some small things that stand out–for example, the chest-pattern being slightly different and the belt being off-color–everything else is carried out to a T. Olya Bony matches Wraith perfectly in terms of build, hair-style, and unsettling eye color.
In other Apex Legends news, earlier this week we found out that the game was leaked out 11 months ago by an unknown Reddit user… and was immediately labeled fake (lol). By all accounts, the game is taking up a fair amount of popularity from the previous dominator of the Battle Royale market, Fortnite — but perhaps it is still too early to decide who will win the Chicken Dinner. In any case, there are a ton of cool crossovers, including Twitch Prime, PlayStation Plus, and some surprisingly stylish concept art sneakers.
Apex Legends is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One as a free-to-play game — we recently reviewed the game, and think it has the ability to change the development landscape as we know it. Otherwise, go check out Olya Bony’s Instagram where you can find more cosplay spanning different realms of pop-culture.
