Back in August, THQ Nordic and KING Art Games (The Dwarves) announced Black Mirror, a reboot of the classic point-and-click adventure series. We are now under a week away from its launch on November 28, so the developers have released a new gameplay trailer to give us a better look at how the title actually plays.
Black Mirror uses fixed cameras for show off the game’s environments and focuses on close-up investigations and interactions with nightmarish visions that plague the main character David throughout most of the game. Black Mirror follows the story of David Gordon, who is summoned to his family’s ancestral home in the Scottish Highlands due to the fact that his father has committed suicide. The circumstance of his father’s death seems suspicious though, so David begins to investigate, and uncovers way more than he was expecting.
For previous fans of the series, it is important to point out that this game is not Black Mirror 4, but a re-imagining of the cult classic point-and-click adventure games. For that reason, no knowledge of the previous games is required to play this game. It also has no relation to the show of the same name, for those curious.
You can check out the launch trailer below. Black Mirror will be released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One November 28.
