Two new members of the Fairy Tail Guild have been confirmed to be playable in the upcoming Fairy Tail RPG adaptation by Koei Tecmo and Gust: Juvia Lockser and Gajeel Redfox. The information leaked early from Famitsu. (Thanks to our comrades at Game’s Talk.)
Out of the over ten playable characters, confirmed for now are Wendy, Lucy, Natsu, Gray, Erza, Luvia and Gajeel. It’s pretty safe to assume every popular member of the Fairy Tail Guild will be playable. The rest and other characters will be appearing as supports. Multiple support characters will be appearing, either helping out with the guild’s management or in battle.
Fairy Tail‘s RPG adaptation by Gust will be launching in 2020 on PC via Steam, PS4, and Switch. Game Producer Keisuke Kikuchi recently mentioned he’s aware some Fairy Tail fans want the game on Xbox One as well, but Gust isn’t very accustomed to Microsoft’s console.
Koei Tecmo should publish further information on Fairy Tail this October. Meanwhile, you can check out the first teaser trailer.
When Famitsu is available, we’ll be either updating this article or publish another article with further info so stay tuned.
Update: Here are screenshots of Juvia and Gajeel from Famitsu. Koei Tecmo Europe also announced Fairy Tail will be playable at Paris Games Week From October 30-November 3. This will be the first time ever the game is playable, so stay tuned for our impressions.
