Specifically, starter Pokémon Chimchar, Turtwig, and Piplup are showcased in the teaser trailer, though other Pokémon from Sinnoh will be added as well. While no specific date was given for when these Pokémon will be added, they did detail some other changes coming to Pokémon GO in the same update that will add those creatures.

When it comes to Pokémon behavior, the weather will have a less drastic impact, there will a noticeable shift in the variety of Pokémon available in a given area, especially when it comes to parks and forest preserves. As for improvements to battling, CP, HP, Defense, and Stamina values are being adjusted to balance the game.
