We are less than two weeks away from E3 (yay!), so the developers and publishers attending the show are starting to show their hands an confirm their game lineups prior to E3 2019. Today, Natsume did so and confirmed two new titles in the process. In addition to the previously announced indie game Cosmic Defenders that Natsume is publishing and the previously confirmed Reel Fishing: Road Trip Adventure, Harvest Moon: Mad Dash for PS4 and Nintendo Switch has been announced by Natsume.
At this time, not much is known about these new Reel Fishing and Harvest Moon titles. For Reel Fishing: Road Trip Adventure, Natsume revealed that the game follows three friends on a Summer road trip looking for an elusive fish mentioned by a mysterious old man. That premise may sound a tad creepy on paper, Reel Fishing: Road Trip Adventure should keep the spirit of previous entires in the long running fishing series that has not seen a new game since Reel Fishing: Master’s Challenge for PS Vita.
As for Harvest Moon: Mad Dash, Natsume hasn’t said much outside of the fact that it will be a spinoff of the popular farming sim series. In a post Stardew Valley world, it will definitely be interesting to see what is done with this new Harvest Moon game. Natsume is promising to reveal more on Tuesday, June 11, so it is possible that we could see the game during Nintendo’s E3 2019 Presentation, though that’s pure speculation. Natsume President Hiro Maekawa seems confident in this new Harvest Moon games as he said “fans might be surprised at what we have in store for Harvest Moon this year. This different take on the Harvest Moon experience will let players enjoy the classic features of the series in a new and exciting way!”
When Natsume does fully unveil Harvest Moon: Mad Dash, DualShockers will be sure to let you know. Cosmic Defenders, Reel Fishing: Road Trip Adventure, and Harvest Moon: Mad Dash all don’t have release dates at this time.
