It’s certainly interesting to hear that Bayonetta 2 started as a multiplatform project, which then was canceled, and saved by Nintendo’s funding.

On the other hand, Bayonetta 3 took a while to be greenlighted, but the project started directly with Nintendo’s support, as a Switch exclusive.

The first Bayonetta launched for PS3 and Xbox 360 in October 2009. Bayonetta 2 followed in September 2014, and Bayonetta 3 was announced last December at The Game Awards.

Before we get to see what the third game looks like, Switch users will get to enjoy a port of Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2.  you can enjoy a recent trailerIf you want to see what it looks like. It will hit the shelves on on February 16th, 2018.
