Today at BlizzCon, those Lego Overwatch sets that leaked last week via Target have officially been revealed.
Yes, all six sets, featuring much of Overwatch‘s fan-favorite characters. Preorders have now started with more information available on Lego’s website. All sets, which are designed by Woon Tze Chee, will be available to purchase on January 1, 2019.
While we have been aware of what each set since that leak, let’s look at the full rundown of each one including how much each will cost and brick count.
Tracer vs. Widowmaker
Price: $14.99, 129 pieces
Based in the Watchpoint Gibraltar map, the Tracer vs. Widowmaker set will include minifigures of both DPS heroes each equipped with their signature weapons. You will also be able to build the map’s payload vehicle packed with a “removable drone ‘brain’ element” and a health pack. A checkpoint disc will also be included.
Tracer and Widowmaker are among the most recognizable characters in Overwatch. Tracer is sort of the poster-child for the game while Widowmaker has made a name for herself as a fantastic pick in pro play.
Hanzo vs. Genji
Price: $19.99, 197 pieces
Set in Hanamura, the Hanzo vs. Genji set will include both DPS characters as minifigures each with their iconic weapons, the Ryu-Ichimonji sword, and the Storm Bow respectively. The set will also include a Shimada Henchman minifigure. Also included is the Hanamura dojo building measuring four inches high and eight inches, a health pack, two hidden disc shooters, and a weapon stand.
Hanzo and Genji are also some of the more recognizable characters among people who currently play the game. Genji is a prime component to dive composition, a technique used in competitive play. Hanzo has had his controversial moments in Overwatch leading to some new moves for the character.
Price: $29.99, 419 pieces
Based on another payload map, the Dorado Showdown set will include Soldier: 76, Reaper, and McCree minifigures. The featured building has a total of three windows — two of which have shutters — lamps, a lantern, a mini market booth, and a doorway big enough for the payload truck to fit through. It will measure over six inches high and five inches long.
The payload truck itself has a generator payload that is removable as well as hidden wheels so it looks like the vehicle is hovering.
Once again, we have some popular DPS heroes each with their iconic weaponry. The next set will introduce some of the two most popular tank heroes.
D.Va & Reinhardt
Price: 39.99, 455 pieces
The D.Va & Reinhardt set includes D.Va and Reinhardt minifigures. Yes, this means you will get to see an unarmored version of Reinhardt in Lego form. The rest of the pieces will make up the armor for both characters with room to fit each minifigure within the larger model. The D.Va mech and Reinhardt armor will stand over five inches tall.
Price: $49.99, 602 pieces
Just when you thought we couldn’t get any more healing characters, this large, transformable Bastion model comes in guns blazing. Able to go into both recon and sentry mode without rebuilding, the 10 inch tall set comes complete with minigun and its pet bird Ganymede. Whether you love or loathe Bastion — I feel most people loathe due to the character’s history — the model is pretty cool looking.
Price: $89.99, 730 pieces
Last but not least — especially in brick count — we have the Watchpoint Gibraltar set. This set features Pharah, Mercy (finally, a healer), and Reaper minifigures, as well as a Winston big figure (think the Hulk Lego figure), as well as the rocket and launch pad from the map of the same name.
The aforementioned Tracer & Widow set can be combined with the Watchpoint: Gibraltar set to create a good representation of the payload map. Since Mercy is the only support class hero in minifigure form currently, I’m not sure how effective that composition would be but the set’s box does portray that sometimes effective Phar-Mercy strat so that’s pretty cool.
If you want to see every angle of each set’s box as well as some shots of the sets already build, look below.
