Today Kadokawa Games released a new trailer of its upcoming open-world JRPG Metal Max Xeno.
The trailer gives us a glimpse on the story and showcases part of the main cast, including the hero Talis, the main heroine Toni, and more.
We also get to see quite a bit of gameplay, including the newly revealed characters, Maria and Dylan, that were announced just yesterday.
If you’re not familiar with the franchise, Metal Max Xeno marks the first return of the series to PlayStation platforms since Metal Saga: Chain of Sandstorm in 2005. After that, the series has been bouncing between Nintendo portables, mobile games, and even a browser game.
You can check out the trailer below. If you want to see more, you can check out the most recent batch of screenshots and the Japanese limited editions, the first trailer and screenshots, and a second batch featuring more characters.
Metal Max Xeno will launch in Japan exclusively for PS4 and PS Vita on April 19th. No western release has been announced for the moment, but since it’s Kadokawa Games the odds of it coming to North America and Europe are pretty good. At the moment we can only keep our fingers crossed, and we’ll let you know if anything is announced.
