Back in November, Nihon Falcom promised during its latest financial presentation that they would remaster the first two heroes that the first two The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel games would be remastered for PS4.
They have been rather quick on making that promise a reality with The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel I: Kai – Thors Military Academy 1204 coming to PS4 in Japan on March 8th.
Today we get the confirmation for the second game, alongside a Japanese release date. Today’s issue of Weekly Famitsu had it listed in its release schedule spread with the title The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II: Kai – The Erebonian Civil War.
The game will release in Japan for PS4 only on April 26th, less than two months after its predecessor. It will cost 3,980 ($35) yen plus taxes at physical retail, and 3,241 ($28) yen plus taxes in digital download on the PlayStation Network. It will mark the full availability of the series on PS4.
While no further info was offered, but they’re likely to come soon, the game will probably run at 60 FPS with 4K support on PS4 Pro like its predecessor. Now the only element left to fulfill the promise made in November is a new game for the series, which is supposed to come this year.
