With just a week to go until its release, anticipation couldn’t be much higher for the upcoming The Outer Worlds. We’ve already seen that the game will offer a vast, humorous galaxy to explore, and ahead of its debut in the next week, PC players can check out what they’ll need in terms of hardware to run it.

Over on the official The Outer Worlds forums, developer Obsidian Entertainment revealed the full PC system requirements for the upcoming game. The minimum and recommended specs can be found below:

OS: Windows 7 (SP1) 64bit

CPU: Intel Core i3-3225 or AMD Phenom II X6 1100T

GPU: Nvidia GTX 650 Ti or AMD HD 7850

HDD Space: 40GB

OS: Windows 10 64bit

CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K  or Ryzen 5 1600

GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB or Radeon RX 470

HDD Space: 40GB

Overall, The Outer Worlds is pretty modest in terms of its system requirements compared to a lot of modern PC game releases. From the minimum specs, it should run on a number of lower-end PCs, while the recommended specs seem to give players some room to work with on higher-end systems to make the game shine, while also being pretty forgiving on hard drive space at 40GB.

In terms of other news for the anticipated Obsidian space RPG, yesterday saw the release of the launch trailer for The Outer Worlds to give players one last look at what to expect from the experience before its debut. In addition to the PC specs, Obsidian also outlined some more details on the console versions of the game, including the release times for it on PS4/Xbox One.

The Outer Worlds will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 25, 2019, while the game will also be arriving in the future on Nintendo Switch. In the meantime, you can pre-order the game now over on Amazon before its release next week.
